At the appointment we will carry out an assessment of your teeth to ensure that Invisalign is suitable for you. You will be offered a specialised three-dimensional scan using the latest iTero technology to create a digital image of your mouth using our ClinCheck software. This will be used to manipulate the image and find out how Invisalign can help improve your smile. The software enables us to see how your smile will change with each aligner and this will be used to put together an individually tailored treatment plan for you. There are two different treatment options depending on your dental requirements. Invisalign Comprehensive is for those with extensive orthodontic issues, whilst Invisalign Lite is available for those with mild or moderate misalignment issues of the teeth. We will send you the scan results and the treatment plan, and if you are happy to progress then you can make your payment and we will order your aligners for you.

Step 2

Invisalign aligners are clear thermoplastic trays which are individually manufactured according to the digital scan results of your teeth. This means that they are highly accurate and therefore very comfortable to wear and provide predictable results as discussed at the beginning of the treatment. The number of aligners that you need will be dependent on the extent of misalignment that you begin with. Each aligner is designed to be worn for two weeks and for approximately 22 hours of the day. They are comfortable to wear and you will have invisible attachments placed on the surface of your teeth, so that they sit securely to help provide added comfort and confidence. Each aligner is designed to move your teeth by approximately 2.5 mm until you have achieved the desired result. We will track your progress digitally throughout the treatment process.
